Im not Jewish but I am proud of Israel and its fighting forces. They are the most moral fighting forces in history. And here they are prevent, I believe, nuclear war in the Middle East.

When I get into a heated discussion with dinner guests about Israel, and they point out that Israel needs to 'behave' given that it is surrounded by Muslim nations, I invariably reply ' well Israel will not allow a Holocaust 2, even if that means using its own nuclear arsenal'. The guest usually looks shocked to be reminded that Israel is widely believed to have nuclear arms. I genuinely believe that without Israel and its nuclear deterrent, the mass slaughter of Jews would have started long ago . So Isreal is trying to save the world from its own foolishness.

Many Iranians are crying out for democracy and a change of reginlme. I hope these airstrikes help towards that aim.

God bless all of the IAF personnel and the Israelis who will invariably running to the shelters again. I hope victory arrives soon. God bless Israel 🇮🇱

Israel is helping free the Iranians from the fanatics that have ruled over them for far too long.

If the strike had not crippled the Iranian nuclear forces but killed their nuclear scientists--Daiyenu! If the nuclear scientists were not killed but the IRGC commander was snuffed--Daiyenu! If the IRGC commander was not killed but the rocket bases were destroyed--Daiyenu! If the rocket bases were not destroyed but the Iranian fleet was sunk--Daiyenu! If the Iranian fleet was not sunk but the mullahs crapped in their pants--Daiyenu! Dai, Daiyenu! Dai daiyenu! Dai daiyenu! Daiyenu daiyenu daiyenu....!

I'm praying Trump comes to his senses and authorizes the U.S. military to assist Israel when Iran retaliates. I did not find Secretary of State Rubio's comment reassuring. He warned Iran not to retaliate against American forces or bases, distancing the States from Israel in this pre-emptive strike. Israel waited while Trump negotiated and strung things out, waited until Trump's deadline had past, and before he could set another deadline, then another, and another, and another, until...

Hopefully the Iranian jihadist regime and their nuclear capabilities will soon be in the dustbin of history where they belong. And then the region can move forward with peacemaking among the reasonable peoples. Wishing for the best for Israel, and by extension for the modern civilized world. Am Yisrael chai. 💙

Thanks, "When will they ever learn?" "First they came for the Jews..."

We all need to pray deeply. This Shabbat we read in Numbers: "When the Ark was to set out, Moses would say:

Advance, O Gd !

May Your enemies be scattered,

And may Your foes flee before You!"

Jews always have lived in existential conditions, even if they did not realize it.

We are a "Community of Fate and Faith."

Just Pray and be witnesses.

It’s so sad that the entire West should be on its knees profusely thanking Israel for once again standing up to apocalyptic evil. Instead we get so many feckless weaklings like Senator Chris Murphy who chastises Israel for unnecessary escalation and shills like Jen Psaki who claim none of this would have been necessary if we just stuck to Obama’s plan. Yeah Jen maybe just a few more pallets of cash would have made the Iranians partners in peace. To be a Jew is to do what needs to be done regardless of the condemnations and never looking for outside affirmation. Secretly so many have to be thinking “whew, thank God for the Jews.” If you won’t thank Israel, at least stay the hell out of its way while they make it safe for you to sleep at night. Truly the most moral country on the planet and the most dangerous. That’s a wonderful combination. There is no modern equivalent to the IDF in terms of bravery and effectiveness. Have to go back to Sparta to find its equal!

“God only knows” indeed.

Thanks to your earlier essay, I’ve had the Beach Boys on repeat all day (mostly, no kidding, “Don’t Worry Baby”) even moving me to dance around the apartment with my husband (who doesn’t dance). So, yeah, we are dancing again. Bring it on

Bravo Eve. You are the voice of so many. You speak for our hearts and minds. For those in the comments feed, please do not judge others like Rubio.

My focus is to pray for a swift and decisive accomplishment of Israel’s goals. Among other things i pray Israel reaches the facilities deep in the ground.
