I've said it before and I'll say it again. The one thing that unites the far left and the far right is that they both hate Jews. The far right openly says that it hates Jews; the far left says that it just hates "Zionists", which, given that the vast majority of Jews support Israel, leads you to the same place. Yay, us, we're the great unifiers! And, what's happening in the UK is already happening here. I greatly fear for any supporters of Israel going back to college campuses in the next few weeks.

Oh Lord Eve, Brits fighting back against Muslims is and was inevitable. People will eventually try and save their country from this madness. The left and media are liars and anti-Semites and can all fuck off. I know the Brits fighting back are being called far right but they look pretty working class to me. They look like people who have had enough of seeing Muslim immigrants walk through their towns with machetes and hammers

And the police do fuck all about it. It’s going to end in civil war. This won’t stop until actual justice is returned. Not two tier bullshit.Keir is a lightweight. Not prepared for the job. I am so sick of seeing police arrest British citizens while letting Muslim thugs walk around free. It’s enough. The left in England is insane just like they are in America. They hate the Jews and support everything that will lead to their eventual destruction. I’m fucking sick of it.

Well said, as usual, Eve.

It’s mind boggling to me the support the Islamists have in the corridors of power, in politics, academia, arts & media. These same Islamists will slay, rape, pillage & murder those who currently protect them. They are anti-western, anti-democracy, anti-feminism, anti-everything that constitutes so called progressive culture. Are these woke progressives that stupid? Is it possible?

I, personally believe the greater community in the UK, USA, Canada & Australia see the bigger picture & are sick of the pro-Islamist rhetoric & carry-on.

Our governments need stand up, our media need change the language, our artists need stick to their trades & our academics need pull their heads out of their asses.

Until then we need warriors like you to keep taking the fight to them & for us, your supporters, to stand strong beside you.

Am Yisrael Chai 🇮🇱💙

Sadly, America is already there. Look at the choice this week to ignore a popular, moderate Jewish governor in a needed swing state for the VP slot so as not to upset the left-wing antisemites. Coupled with newspapers like the NYT already blaming Jews for any potential election loss by over-exaggerating support for these protests and tying it to the mythical "youth vote" - despite the fact that statistically only around 5% of college students claimed it was even a top 10 priority, placing it on the radar of a mere 2.5% of the 18-25 vote. Yet both the pundits and party are setting up being able to blame Jews and Israel if they lose. Look at the recent coverage and mud-slinging when Bowman lost his primary - so what that his opponent had a 10 point lead back in January before AIPAC spent even a dime, or that he chose to use a bunch of explicatives and what he termed "South Bronx" energy to try to win over a district that mostly included the ultimate suburb of Westchester County. Clearly it was AIPAC and the Jews' fault. And this was mirrored, again, with Cori Bush yesterday as the headines focused on the "dark money" of AIPAC - stretching the very limits of the term "dark money" into meaninglessness (how is it "dark money" when it was transparently fundraised by American and American-Israeli Jews? Maybe we should ask the protests backed by WESPAC what "light money" looks like...) And in the standard "the right and the left meet in the back" circle of illiberalism, right-wing extremists jumped on the Bush loss to decry so-called foreign money in elections. I am fully bracing myself for the consequences this fall if the Democrats lose and whose fault it will be considered.

A "moderate Jewish governor" who still supports a two-state solution for Israel is about as delusional as a man can be. We'll be far better off with an overt antisemite on the ticket than with with a progressive fool who just creates confusion. The Democrat party was taken over years ago, and the only people who don't realize this are the folks who still read Tom Friedman and listen to NPR.

Eve, as far as the boxer is concerned, the evidence appears to be that the Algerian is a biological male. I'm not sure what you tweeted that was wrong, as I'm not on social media.

As far as the division, mistrust, and, let's call it what it is, hatred between the rioting Brits and the Muslim community in the UK erupting, I'm only surprised that it's taken this long to happen. As I see it, the UK government has been sowing the seeds of this separation between the long-standing British community and the Muslim community. When I say British community, I mean people of all races, origins and religions who have either just immigrated to the UK or have been there for a thousand years. What the people of the British community have in common is their ideals, values and a willingness to live together, work together and accept each other's differences with the goal of having a better future.

Sadly, it appears that many of the Muslim immigrants to the UK only have allegiance to their religious system. I call it a religious system because Islam encompasses religion, Sharia law and the Imams as their political leaders. In order for Islam to succeed as it was intended, the Muslim community needs all UK citizens to be Muslim, to replace the British legal system and replace the electoral system of leadership. With over 80 localized Sharia courts already in operation in the UK, you can see where the Muslims want to take this.

I would argue that the Muslim community has stoked the fires of discontent in the UK by continually attacking the British way of life and fighting against it. Since 2005, the vast majority of the terror attacks in the UK have been perpetrated by Islamists. Prior to that, it was the IRA carrying out most of the attacks and killings. The government had no problem openly condemning the actions of the IRA and labelling them terrorists, and they went to great lengths to deal with them to keep the English and Irish communities safe. Why the struggle with Hamas and the open hatred of the Islamists against the Jews?

I found it telling in Keir Starmer's statement that he won't tolerate attacks on mosques or Muslim communities and will use the full force of the law. He was rightly called out by Elon Musk regarding this, who stated that Starmer should be concerned about all communities. Also, why didn't the government condemn the hate and violence against the Jews with such fervour in the UK since October 7th? I know Starmer is off the hook on this one as he wasn't elected yet, but in future, I hope he calls them out with as much energy and moral indignation as he has been calling out the 'far-right.'

The politicians in the UK have been pandering to the Muslim community for some unknown reason that I can't fathom. This has been painfully evident since October 7th, after Hamas attacked Israel. Ever since that terrible day, there have been ongoing antisemitic marches in London where the participants have openly called for the destruction of Israel and the murder of Jews. I can only go by what I see and read in the news, but I have not seen a lot of policing or arrests in regard to the disorder and chaos of those marches. If anything, I have seen anyone who has the audacity to wave an Israeli flag or a British flag quickly removed and whisked away from the scene and often threatened with arrest if they do not remove themselves. As a retired police officer, I am loath to criticize my fellow officers, but it does appear that the police, especially in London, are not policing the Muslim community as they do everyone else.

The UK is full of immigrants from all over the world and always has been the Romans clashed with the Iceni population in 61 BCE. I don't remember the British people being this upset with an immigrant population in quite some time. I have never seen the locals fighting with the Indians, the Chinese, the Ukrainians, the Polish, the Italians or even the Irish and Scots as much as they have been with the Muslims. I would argue that the previous communities I mentioned made an effort to fit in and adapt to their new homeland and did not try to influence and change the British system to suit themselves.

What I don't understand is why anyone would come to the UK from a failed country and then try to change the UK to mimic that failed country. I can understand people missing their homeland, missing hearing their language, their food and their culture. I feel that most of these people are intelligent and mindful of the failings in their home countries, so why are they doing it? Why are they trying to live like they are back in the Middle East? Are they being pressured? or threatened? Or is the religion so all-encompassing that they cannot see a life outside of Islam? We in the West have been secular for so long that we forget how religion and daily life used to be intertwined with no separation. I believe this is how many in the Middle East live and survive. Maybe over time, the Muslim community will realize they can practise their religion in the UK without Sharia and Imams calling the shots. Maybe they will eventually fit into the English community, and maybe the politicians will stop pandering to them and treat them like everyone else and be fair. As we all know, it is often the feeling that one is being treated unfairly that causes discontent; whether that is actual or perceived unfairness matters little. To stop the riots and general aura of discontent in the UK, I believe the government and the police must do everything they can to act and appear to be treating all people the same; this will go a long way.

The only European countries that didn't succumb to Islam were those who defeated the Muslims through force of arms like Charles Martel in France or at the battles at Granada in Spain, at Lepanto in Italy or in Vienna. Where battles were lost, as in Constantinople, the native cultures disappeared and the next generation were raised as Muslim warriors. Fantasies of peaceful collaboration like the Golden Age of Andalusia are, unfortunately, merely fantasy and have no historical basis.

Some of the most progressive Jews in Israel were those who lived along the Gaza envelope. Many of them devoted themselves wholeheartedly to proving that peaceful coexistence was possible between Israelis and the people of Gaza. Many of them paid the ultimate price for their naiveté on October 7th.

Eve I so agree! It frustrates me so much that all of those college kids (and even professors!) were holding forth about Israel and chanting a cliche and yet they knew no real history of the region. They had no sound basis of knowledge upon which to make a decision. If we are to understand one another and make peace we must know what has transpired. We must truly recognize each other’s humanity and pain. The heat must come out of the situation and light be shining.you are so right. Inflaming the situation with hateful and false rhetoric does not contribute to a peaceful resolution.

Take a look at what's happening in Bangladesh. No matter how unpalatable the notion seems there comes a point where civilized people of the world must fight back or we'll be slaughtered exactly like the Hindus for refusing to submit. We're fast approaching a tipping point and if we don't wake up soon and fight back, yes fight back, those who carry the machetes will make mince meat of us all. I'm sorry if this sounds rash but we can't stop this sort of attack on civilization with kind words and flowers in our hair. This is the reality were facing...right now.

And look how quiet the world is about what’s happening in Bangladesh. No Jews, no news. And apparently reporting on Muslims killing Hindus is Islamophobic.

Sorry Eve, but you've fallen for the malarkey of these male boxers as really "female" victims just as some have fallen for the malarkey of Hamas as victims. The misogynists keep throwing out all these DSDs, along with clownfish and alligator reproduction to confuse people, but the fact is those humans with a Y chromosome are males, undescended testicles or not. I will never waiver when it comes to 1) rape and torture of civilians as a crime that deserves a response 2) separate sports for males and females and 3) due process for both sexes (referring to male college students denied due process in cases of alleged rape). It's my refusal to waiver that resulted in me not joining the "hate Amber Heard" bandwagon, which you've previously mentioned. Please stop carrying water for these men. I'm older than you, 63-yrs-old, and I remember the fight for Title IX. I was one of the early joggers and would receive stares as a 12/13-yr-old jogger because females jogging for health was like watching a Martian land. These men (and their handmaidens) want to drive females totally out of sports because they see it as a zero-sum game and they have a hatred for females participating in a sport when the men know they can beat them. The result of my mother's generation discouraged from physical exertion in sports has resulted in my 89-yr-old mother having a very hard time recovering from a fall. It has taken the stuffing out of her, but I see women who did do sports know how to get through the physical setbacks. It's just so sad you can't see this. Please don't be a handmaiden.
