Thank you for another strong and insightful article Eve. However, I believe you missed an important point: in getting into the other side’s head, you would have noticed that they don’t wish to ask questions. They have chosen to shed their humanity, with the responsibilities embedded in it, in exchange to hate. Because it’s easy, it feels good (as you mentioned), it provides social approval, and it provides instrumental benefits. Questioning will put all of these at risk for the sake of...what? Being a good person? It’s too hard. It’s understandable that you (and others) cannot comprehend such a choice, but it is, in fact, the more common one.

On a slightly different note: there is no good outcome to tomorrow’s ruling. Even the highly unlikely case in which they do nothing and/or reject the accusations, would be akin to your rapist telling their victim they’re good in bed. This is something we’re unfortunately familiar with. The part I find most troubling is that the ruling is likely to sentence the hostages, the elderly, women, babies, injured, and all - to certain death since it would block both avenues of action and negotiations. It is that injustice that is most depraved.

One of your best Eve. I am a regular reader back to when music was your beat. This particular essay is powerful not only for the great writing, but the caring, and the quality reporting. I hope readers give this the coverage it deserves. I certainly will share it widely.

Again, many thanks, and best wishes.

I also saw a post on Instagram where the poster commented that Jews should ask themselves why everyone hates them.

I just blocked them, but it's fairly typical of what I am seeing out there.

Look what “following the money” has revealed so far - pro Palestinian protestors being paid, “donations” to Gaza civilian charities being funnelled to Hamas, Palestinians and their families being paid by the PA to kill Jews under the guise of “social security” (thank you Douglas Murray) who knows what else will be uncovered.

Another great commentary Eve, it’s a privilege to read your work.

It certainly is disturbing to see the world as it is today. It’s so convoluted & discombobulated.

How the fck did we get here & when the fck will this end? Not just the war in Israel/Gaza but the war on everything, all our values, all our norms...

I’m waiting to awaken from this nightmare, for the earth to recover its axis, get itself back on track, recognise right from wrong, good from evil, recover respect for one another.

I never used to worry, but I do now. 🙏🏽

London is a lost cause to the Islamists. Still dont understand how the Islamists and fake progressive Muslims dominate universities like NYU and Columbia where 10--25% of the students are Jewish. Could be too many "As a Jew" in leadership like Penslar who runs Harvard's Jewish studies and has called Israel an apartheid state. The Muslim professors and students stick to the program.

Penslar is truly odious.

I've been listening to the Call Me Back podcast for a couple of months now, and have learned so much. The episodes with Haviv Rettig Gur, in particular, are incredibly informative.

I could listen to Dan Senor every day (I actually think I basically do.) His episodes with Haviv are stellar.

When the HAMAS supporters deny October 7 they reveal the weakness of their position. They endorse a semi sanitized version which is belied by the terrorist’s own account and that of hundreds of survivors. Biden and the rest of establishment Dems don’t seem to worried about Muslim votes and they shouldn’t be.

Can't recommend the Call Me Back podcasts enough. They are all so informative to the relatively ignorant "gentile" like myself. :) Haviv Rettig Gur is so informative, calm and reasoned. His weekly appearance are always a must listen.

Haviv Rattigor is a hidden gem. From all his TOI podcasts to his weekly appearances on Dan Senor's Call Me Back, his insight into the war is brilliant.

The big trans rights movement didn't impact women's movements at all, that is rhetoric from folks who undermine ALL LGBTQ+ rights and women's rights. What it did do was stop people from talking about real issues affecting trans people (like how it's legal to kill a trans person on a date in many US states or the plethora of legislation aimed at making it illegal to be trans in a lot of those same states) to make it all about Israel/ Palestine. The racism of low expectations keeps a lot of LGBTQ+ folks from acknowledging that Palestinians shouldn't kill LGBTQ+ people. I feel like a lot of Zionists have a blind spot for Queer folks and I'm hoping speaking up will make it less common. Anyway, I love your work and I hope you know Trans Zionist Jews exist and read your work
