One of my best friends moved to London a few years ago with his husband. I made a huge effort to stay in touch. My husband’s British and we’d met up the few times I’ve been to London since and when he was back home. About a year ago, he defriended me on Instagram for posting about antisemitism. I’m still stunned that he chose the mob mentality over someone he’d been close friends with for 20 years. He legit defriended me for being Jewish. I can’t for the life of me understand these queers for Palestine and their blatant racism and bigotry.
I regret very much to say this but I dont regard myself as having lots of real friends. I dont know who would betray me given the right conditions. I have some close family and then people I am friendly with. That's it. Im not Jewish, but the treatment of Jewish people throughout history has taught me that most people are pack animals
It's natural to want to believe one's "tribe" has your back, but irregardless of whatever connects people in one area of life, people are going to be people, and some of those people are going to form nasty mobs. The current fashionable mob attacks Israel and attacks Jews anywhere on the planet. I watched her self- important “serious“ little speech. It was appalling, it was hypocritical, and it completely erases her contribution to the world of the arts in my opinion. She uses her artistic platform to demonize her own people and to praise those who killed and maimed and kidnapped babies, old people and young people while smearing their blood about, laughing, and filming it. She is a fool.
