Just as Hamas has hidden behind the people of Gaza, so has Iran hidden behind the splinter groups of Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis. With Pesach approaching and Purim not long gone, the Iranian ayatollahs could well be facing a turnabout they cannot foresee due to the hatred embedded in their assumptions.

My parenthetical aside was directed at Biden & Blinken (LLC maybe?) in Washington DC who seem convinced that capitulation is a road to peace in the Mideast. It's my fervent belief that that will lead to anything BUT a true and lasting peace.
It's not so much capitulation as a desperate attempt to do anything necessary to tamp this situation down and appease the Hamassholes until after the election. Biden is taking a page from Obama, "After election, I'll have more flexibility." Hopefully, after the election, Bidens family will have more flexibility to put him into an assisted living facility.

I disagree in part--the "ceasefire now" crowd was NOT being silent. Rather, they were quite vocal in cheering on Iran.

Iran may be isolated but it's by no means alone Eve.
China, Russia, North Korea, and to a high degree Pakistan as well are able to lend 'aid and comfort' to the mullahs.
