"As the saying goes, 'What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.' Despite all the nightmares you've had to endure, it seems you have always been a very strong person. Now, after everything, you appear to be even stronger. All my admiration goes to you.
Eve Barlow, you rocked it in Tel Aviv! I immensely enjoyed reading this latest essay. I’ll describe in a few words what your work inspires in me. At the end of the day, live a life that you are proud of. That’s it. From there G-d will be with you. It’s important that we do our best so we can say: « I did what I thought was right and was genuine and truthful. » That’s it. Thank you and good night.
So beautiful and so glad you arrived at this point in your journey. Thank you for always sharing your true self with us, your fans that won’t turn against you. Our Jewish family is solid and strong. Bless you Eve.
Bravo to you Eve, you are such a beautiful brave talented soul. I feel so proud of you & am reading you making shifts in others as you grow & evolve into a true woman of substance.
What a joy to read this piece Eve. You can feel the weight lifting off of your shoulders as you describe being in a place where you can be you and that's enough. I'm thrilled for you that you got that relief and were able to be in the midst of all the joy and love and PRIDE. (And yes to the abs comment! Wow!)
I am coming out of my closet, so to speak. Not as a lesbian, as I am heterosexual. Because of your experiences you know coming out as “gay” was celebrated !
But (gasp!) coming out as a Jew, a Zionist and an unabashed supporter of Israel is way harder.
I have grown braver, because of you.
I am tired of reading so much about these psychotic idiots shouting oxymoronic slogans and…saying nothing on social media.
So, although I am not the writer you are, I will be “coming out” on my new Substack, which is in the works.
Loved reading the beautiful recollections of your trip to Israel. All the trouble and detours you encountered getting there was worth it! Did your luggage eventually arrive?
Some day you will wander along the boardwalk of Tel Aviv with a family of your own, dear Eve! You deserve all the joy and happiness a family of your own will bring.
Reading this essay, I felt like I was walking right there beside you as your heart burst with happiness. All I can say is...I am happy for you, because you deserve this.
I knew eventually you would come through to the other side and the happiness and peace you deserve would be waiting for you. God has better plans for you that your old life would have not been able to deliver. Impossible to see at the time but true.
Enjoy the rest of your time! And safe travels home.
I am so happy seeing your joy in these pictures.
You have had so many reasons to be angry and desolate. Here you have taken flight on wings of love.

This brought tears to my eyes. I felt every word.

I am SOOOOOOO happy for you!!!
You deserve so much and more!
It makes me smile to know you've 'found' yourself fully, strong and whole after so much sh*t was sent your way.
Keep speaking truth to power!
Namaste!
You have walked through fire and you are resplendent.

I'm delighted for you. I wish you could bottle this feeling so you could take a little sip whenever the world is gnawing on your bones.
