“Those who don't have truth on their side, turn to dishonesty.” It was apt that Katharine Brodsky tweeted this yesterday morning. What’s going on right now in the Israel-Hamas war is bigger than life. It should stop every serious person dead in their tracks.
So what we’re seeing since yesterday is a truly thrilling marriage of two phenomena: Jewish genocide calls are being protected as “free speech” by the highest elite institutions in America, while the rape of Jewish women on October 7 onwards by Hamas is being denied on an industrial scale. A match made in hell (or I guess heaven if you’re Yahya Sinwar)! Which means that from the most esteemed people in America downwards, everyone can say whatever they want to bring harm to Jews and once they have achieved that harm to Jews, they can also deny it. Happy chanukah, everyone!
Let’s look at the rape denial first.
Yesterday at the UN, witnesses gave testimony about sexual violence on October 7. I watched one first responder testify, and he could barely get words out of his mouth. You can tell that the man has not been able to close his eyes for two months for the horrors that lie behind his eyelids. Some of the first responders couldn't even tell you if the bodies they found were men or women. That's how much Hamas mutilated the human beings on October 7. This particular witness recalled that “nails” and other objects were found in women’s vaginas.
There is no end to my fury.
Yes, I too am incensed that nobody cares. Israeli women are not women apparently. Their rapes aren’t rapes. So many SA activists still say absolutely fuck all about October 7. That's fine. But just so you know, from now on we understand that the only reason you post about rape is when you think it makes you look good. Yes, the only reason you post about rape is because you have convinced yourself there’s some benefit to you talking about someone else’s pain. You’re all sadists, just like Hamas. The level of silencing, gaslighting, deception, bullying, and abuse that Jews as a whole are experiencing currently is absolutely appalling.
Well, Briahna, the victims are in the morgue so…
The Jews are re-living the worst eras of our history. So everyone who isn’t a Jew will fall into one of two camps: either you’re participating in our abuse and attempted annihilation, or you’re sheltering us from it. There is nothing bigger than this right now. Ergo: you’re in one of those two camps. Pick.
This is a video of 40-year-old lawyer Amit Soussana versus SEVEN Hamas terrorists. It took seven of these cowards to hold her down while they stole her over the border to Gaza and kept her in captivity for two months. I wrote about Amit a few nights ago. She is the woman who hobbled out of captivity. She put up an extraordinary fight. She shared this video because she wants the world to see.
Mia Schem [below] left the hospital today. She’s the hostage who was shot by Hamas and then operated on by a vet in Gaza. Mia was cheered all the way home by crowds, but as you can see Mia is traumatized to her core, terrified of crowds, broken. As the world turns away from Mia and all those like her, we continue to have confirmation not just about the people who love and care for us but about the people in our lives who are made of moral fiber. There is no justification for ignoring this or running away from your responsibilities to your Jews right now. Only cowardice and deceit. The world is ill with this sickness.
Anyway back to the scheduled program: a massive congratulations to all of you who have denied rape by Hamas. You have set the clock back on women’s rights against sexual violence even further than it was before. You’re a bunch of fakes. Here’s a note about rape denial. Perpetrators who are successful in discrediting their victims do so because they have dehumanized their victims, and this dehumanization becomes echoed by a world that sides with the perpetrator. That is what Hamas has achieved. The total dehumanization of its victims. Posters ripped down. Rapes denied.
Trauma specialist Judith Herman writes:
"When the traumatic events are of human design, those who bear witness are caught in the conflict between victim and perpetrator. It is morally impossible to remain neutral in this conflict. The bystander is forced to take sides. It is very tempting to take the side of the perpetrator. All the perpetrator asks is that the bystander do nothing.… The victim, on the contrary, asks the bystander to share the burden of pain."
History shows us that we need movements around women in order to protect our rights and our bodies. What is happening currently with the denial of sexual violence against women in Israel sets all women back. And it does so by design. Women who are victims of the October 7 attacks are far less likely to come forward and testify knowing how the world has taken enormous pleasure in the suffering of Jewish women, and in the sordid details. Efforts to seek justice often require further traumatization, too. Perpetrators of trauma know this.
The more evidence against the perpetrator, the more extreme lengths the perpetrator has to go to deny the truth, and instead to focus on humiliating the victims, for there is great social currency in this. As we have seen even before this war, rape has become a subject of sickening entertainment on apps like TikTok. Hamas know this too. Hamas know that the more Israel issues evidence, the more those who take glee in the rapes will post their depraved responses. Does that mean we should stop releasing evidence? Absolutely not.
The element of joy found in extreme prejudice is a crucial element of both antisemitism and misogyny. When the two are combined, the effect is nuclear. By the way, this is all fairly textbook stuff. What's shocking is that it should be familiar to and recognized by every feminist. And it's not, because the movement protects all women, except Jews. Jews are imperfect victims. Israel is an imperfect victim. Israel doesn’t just roll over and die when she’s attacked. So Israel’s a little hard to get behind.
The world denies the sexual violence by Hamas because it sides with Hamas, and if it were to accept these acts there is no possible way the world could remain a bystander. All arrows point in the direction of Israel as the victim. Hamas is the perpetrator of unspeakable acts.
There is no justification for Hamas's continued existence, or any group of people who support Hamas. Whereas Israel has a right to exist free from such crimes against humanity, and Israel is perfectly within its rights to wage this war. Rape denial is part of the brainwashing. The only way to continue to ignore Israel's victimization is to discredit the individuals targeted by Hamas on October 7 and since. And failing that, mocking and humiliating the victims and/or anyone who speaks out in their defense, or dehumanizing us with libelous claims (racist! TERF! ZIONIST! — OK that one’s true). They can single us out as "Zionists" and warp the definition of Zionism to suit their needs, but it doesn't absolve them. Those who participate in such antisemitic rhetoric are no longer mere bystanders, but active assailants to the perpetrators, ie Hamas.
It is absolutely shocking to watch swathes of women participate in this humiliation too, but their actions are nothing beyond the classic "pick me" mentality. Siding with the perpetrator gives many women the false belief that they will be protected from future attack. Who’s gonna break it to them, hmm?
Hamas will rape and kill indiscriminately. They already did on October 7. You didn't have to be a Jew or even an Israeli to be victim to their crimes. So yes the Hamasniks have to deny the rapes to justify continuing to argue against Israel's military actions. You can't actually have both. There is no world where you accept what happened on October 7 and argue that Israel's war is unjust. Zero. Absolutely nil.
OK that was longer than a note. I apologize. Also: Why is Hilary Clinton still the clearest speaker alive?
And onto more bad things. (Sorry!). Today on Capitol Hill, the Jewish specialty subject was antisemitism on campus. Below the presidents of MIT, Penn and Harvard were majestically put to the test about the legitimacy of protecting calls to Jewish genocide on their campuses as, uh, “free speech”.
Oh I see. So this is like a game then? We just wait to see if the students murder the Jewish students on campus, and then once they take the action that’s when it becomes a problem? Cool, guys. What great places to learn. Ladies and gentlemen, the highest level of academic institutions in the United States believe that calling for the genocide of Jews is only a violation of university rules if the "context" deems so. Do you need me to say that again?
Does Harvard think it's okay for students to walk around calling for the mass raping of women? Is that just "free speech" unless it turns into "conduct"? Is that just "dependent on the context"? OF COURSE NOT. These are Ivy League schools. Nazism is flooding the corridors of the most elite institutions in America. Again, I’m repeating myself, because it seems nobody cares. Jewish genocide is just free speech, according to Harvard and Penn and MIT.
Look at this bitch. She thinks genocide is funny. Liz Magill is nothing but a Hamas maggot in a suit. She is what Hamas feed on when they’re taking a timeout. She’s also dumb as rocks. Where is her PhD? Oh wait, she doesn’t have one. Go figure.
Look, everyone is obsessed with appearing as good people instead of BEING GOOD PEOPLE. A good person speaks out against injustice. A good person knows right versus wrong. A good person doesn't choose the popular, easy route for clout. A good person reciprocates. A good person is honest. Tell your people to start being good people. Or else we’re all fucked. It may feel convenient to abandon the Jewish people in their lives who have brought them nothing but progress and success, but it will not serve their survival. I can assure them that. Turn your back on us and you turn your back on yourselves.
As for me, I just want to be treated like a human being. Oh and I want these women home.
The presidents of universities are disgusting. “Context dependent???” Thank you for publishing Eve. Love you so much!
As usual, you’re spot on. Briana Joy Gray questioned Bernie Sanders’s integrity for refusing to call for a complete cease fire yet she questions the veracity of 10/7 rape claims. That hypocrisy sums up where the American left exists today. To borrow loosely from Tom Wolfe, we are living in a world defined by Radical Shiek. It’s like TickTock’s algorithm runs on the remnants of Woodstock’s brown acid.
