The facts don't matter to people like that. They have been programmed to see everything through a racist, oppressed/oppressor lens. Probably half of the Jewish population in Israel is Mizrahi, native Middle Eastern, and if I remember correctly, 3% are Black. It doesn't matter. In the minds of these self-righteous bigots, Jew=white. White=oppressor. It also doesn't matter to them that Jews are the indigenous people of that region. Al-Aqsa mosque is built on the ruins of Solomon's temple. So, who is "occupying" whom? None of that matters because Jews=white. White=oppressor. They aren't interested in the truth because the truth doesn't fit their narrative.
The descendants of slaves who support Hamas - Nation of Islam, for example - are also blissfully unaware that those who they defend, Islamists, are the ones who enslaved their ancestors in the first place. Their ancestors were given a choice, submit to Islam or be taken into slavery. Their ancestors chose the oppression of slavery over the oppression of Islam. Whenever people bring up the issue of reparations they should be made aware of this fact and told the first to pay should be those who profited from slavery. Let's see how far they'd get with their demands.
I'd also love to ask some of these descendants of slaves to tell me about them. What were their names? Where did they live? What happened to them? There are plenty of Jews for whom it's not some distant ancestor, but grandparents and great-grandparents who were used as slave labor and then murdered by the Nazis.
