I hate to correct you… but Jews have been threatened for millennia! Israel has been under attack since its inception after WWII. October 7 was the most heinous attack since the Holocaust!
I have watched with horror as the radical left, especially in our “elite” universities, have, somehow, managed to become anti-Zionist AND antisemitism is allowed, even encouraged! Admission of Jewish students to the Uni’s, despite stellar qualifications, are denied outright!
My most current vent of my spleen is reserved for Mamdani! It was inconceivable (and I do know what that word means) that the Mayor of our largest city could be so absolutely, unfiltered antisemetic! Now threatening the head of the State of Israel with arrest! WTF?!? I would happily attend Mamdani’s funeral memorial service!
Jews have been threatened with extinction ever since the destruction of the 2nd Temple in 70 CE. In the category of “potential hope”: I am a psychotherapist and I signed up for a 10 week intensive training recently. When the itinerary was presented, the keynote speakers were announced—Bessel Van der Kolk, and Gabor Maté—and additionally, sessions were on 10 consecutive Shabbats. I wrote to the organizer/leader, letting her know that I would not be attending, by her and her team’s design, and asked for a dialogue. She agreed—and we begin August 3rd.
I realize this could end in greater frustration, but the risk is what we do, yes?
