Iran strikes

Here’s an extraordinary visual that shows a new era of history for Israel, the Jewish people and the Middle East. The Iron Dome protecting the Golden Dome, or the Al-Aqsa mosque, from attack by Iranian drones and missiles. A Jewish technological invention created to safeguard it from extremist Islamic aggressors being used to protect the third holiest Muslim site in the world. If this is not proof that Israel is the only path to peace and co-existence, I don’t know what is. Together with its allies, Israel is the leading state actor protecting itself and in some respects Islam from its most extreme factions, and further shielding the rest of the world from its most proximate existential threats. Shielding the skies of Israel from the Islamic Republic of Iran tonight, the Iron Dome is a technology that does so much more than safeguard a nation. It safeguards ideas, freedoms, peoples, religion and history.

Where is the Islamophobia?

After several days of tense warnings and threats, the Islamic Republic of Iran engaged in the biggest drone strike in history today, and directly attacked Israel for the first time in our history. And it should be noted that in attacking the Southern and Northern communities of Israel, Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, the Republic threatened a country whose population is one-fifth Muslim, and they indiscriminately targeted minority Muslim communities, including several Bedouin communities, which Israel dutifully protects in the same way Israel protects all of its communities. (One Bedouin ten-year-old girl was injured by shrapnel and survived after receiving aid from Israeli ambulance service Magen David Adom). Some Apartheid, eh.

The Islamic Republic also attacked the skies about the Knesset. Can you imagine a similar attack above the White House? What would you have America do? Just take it?

This will change the Middle East - there’s no doubting that. The Abraham Accords held fast, as we saw cooperation and aid not just from America and the UK in intercepting scores of drones, but from Jordan and Saudi Arabia. The former opened air space for the Israeli Air Force. Missed shrapnel from Iran fell in Jordan. Three Jordanians were killed. What’s Queen “free Palestine” Rania going to say about that tomorrow?

Israel’s war cabinet has approved a response, and that response is to be “significant”. Israel has a right to defend herself against such an unprecedented attack. Do not for a moment be gaslit into thinking that Israel will be escalating matters by striking back against an all-out attack on Jewish sovereignty. Iran was the escalating force here.

I have noted how quiet all the academics, and Squad politicians, and human rights lawyers have been today. They’ve had normal days. Regular Instagram posts. Nothing to see here. The Ceasefire Now crew, the South Africa ICJ fans, the “iSrAeL iS cOmMiTTiNg a gEnOcIde” groups have not reacted to this image of Israel on red alert today. All schools closed until further notice. No public gatherings of more than 1000 people.

To be fair, maps and facts don’t seem to be the progressives’ strong point, and it takes time for the propaganda machine to work in their favor again. We’ll hear from them in the next 24-48 hours, once Israel is retaliating and they’re no longer on MDMA and mushrooms at Coachella.

In Toronto they’re getting in the support for caliphate early, however, and cheering for Iran.

But but… Islamophobia.

The Islamic Republic of Iran was the fuel behind October 7, and the mass propaganda since. Hamas is an Iranian terror proxy. The war in Gaza is the most justified war in the history of the state of Israel, following the deadliest attack on Jewish people since the state’s establishment. The Hamas militia in Gaza and Hamas’s leadership want to prolong the war as long as possible. Israel must be free from the threat of Iran and all of its terror proxies. The Palestinians must be free from Hamas. And the people of Iran must be liberated from the Islamic regime. Iran is 75 times bigger than Israel. Israel is David. Iran is Goliath.

Israel, I know you won’t sleep tonight, but you are strong, and you are brave. My heart is with you. Put on some Ofra Haza and remember we’re not going anywhere. Today, Iran launched a war on Israel. The IDF strike on an IRGC building in Damascus a few weeks ago was a response to Iran’s participation in the war in Gaza, and took out IRGC officials who planned and executed October 7. It was a justified attack. Iran has spent the last 40+ years building a network (The Ring Of Fire) of 19 terrorist proxy groups, who surround Israel with the one intention of wiping her off the map. Today, Iran escalated their plan and declared a state of war. Israel will defend herself, whether the world approves or not.
