Re: sad story of Mr. Arday. It’s a sort of reverse racism, isn’t it, to imagine that Mr. Arday was incapable of fraud. Black people are the same as the rest of us, subject to every one of the seven deadly sins.

It's remarkable, isn't it? The people who are most responsible for the death of Mr. Arday were the people who encouraged him to be a fraud, and to put himself in an untenable position. He reeled out bigger and bigger lies, and they nodded and smiled and clapped. And now they point fingers and say it's the people who questioned his lies who are at fault. Nobody should ever have popped his bubble.

It sounds familiar, come to think of it.
