Yes it was biblical and it will thus shape Jewish history in a fundamental way as well as impact the rest of the world. And yes: the stories of October 7th need to be told, again and again. I have a feeling the world would like to forget these, but we are just starting. Thanks again Eve.

I can't comprehend this even as I watch you and others bear witness. It defies everything we've been taught to believe and yet I don't doubt for a second the reality and horror of it. May G-d help us.

I am reading this as I sit in my house eating dinner. Safe. This disturbed me. I am so grateful for the work you do to get the message out, of the atrocities committed.

Eve, thank you and bless you for the courageousness, love, clarity and powerful writing you are bringing to this dialogue. We have not been back to Israel for over 10 years and are feeling the strong pull. It does now feel like we are AWAY from home, not AT home here in the US, and reminded every day of the lopsided world we seem to live in as Jews in the diaspora. We will remain loud and proud here in the US until we are fortunate to again find ourselves able to join our brothers and sisters again in Israel. Rest assured we will amplify your voice wherever we can. יברכך ה' וישמרך . . . ישא ה' פניו אליך וישם לך שלום

One of my close friend's youngest daughter is 27, lives in NYC, and left a good job one week ago to volunteer in Israel. Not sure what she is doing but my friend said she plans to extend her stay and hope she has a job and apartment when she returns. Maybe she won't return. I appreciate and was touched by your latest report and videos, and will share as I offer a prayer for New Year. "May the next year be better than the last and every day unwrapped Iike a precious gift. Be safe and be healthy. God bless you and all that mean something in your life."

Eve, you are my bright light light. Always guiding the way. May God bless you and keep you. I plan to travel to Israel in a few months. I'm sure I too won't want to leave. I am surrounded at work by non Jews and mostly folks who are apathetic or simply oblivious to the raging antisemitism in the USA. It is a lonely and isolating place to be Jewish.

Thank you for sharing this. I’m commenting to say, I’m one more person that has borne witness too. I’m one more person that is unwilling to let antisemitism creep in and for darkness to win. You are not alone.

I will never understand how the media accept Hamas' unsupported word. They claim 20,000 dead, yet each day there are 10-30 killed in a bombing. How that gets to 20,000 I will never know. Unfortunately I have no faith that Netanyahu will successfully lead Israel at this time. He needs to go to prison and let competent people take over.

"We are all individual pieces dispersed throughout the world. And without other pieces next to us our edges can be sharp and cold and highly exposed." Thank you for your witness and for hasbara that can be shared with others who need to see and know.

I think all Jews know that Israel is their home no matter where we physically live. I would feel safer there than where I live in Canada today. 💙🇮🇱💙

I couldn’t agree with you more about the disconnect between the rhetoric outside of Israel and the reality here in Israel. Stay as long as you can- there is healing and support in being here and feeling the strength of Am Yisrael in full force. And then get people to come and see the reality for themselves. Sending love and strength.
