I really wish these celebrities who have no real academic credentials in Middle Eastern Studies, History, International Relations or even just the ability to look at a situation logically would STFU. Or use their time more productively. They really do not need to help fan the flames of hate and make divides larger. Children all over the world need food, clean water, shelters. Buy the food and clothing and deliver it. Pick up a hammer and build shelters. Clean up cities. Build playgrounds. Stay in your lane.
Isn’t it interesting that Angelina went with Egypt not Israel. Egypt, as Eve points out, is the country that would not open its borders to the Gazan’s during the war no doubt increasing their casualties geometrically. Egypt also owned and ran the Gaza Strip until after the Israelis, led by their brilliant warrior, Ariel Sharon, valiantly turned the Yom Kippur War around in 1973, crossed the Suez Canal and had the Egyptian Third Army surrounded and begging for their lives. In the settlement that followed the Egyptians refused to take back the Gaza Strip because they wanted nothing to do with the native residents there. Now that was smart. Tragically, Israel then got stuck with them leading in a straight line to October 7. That was the noble role of Egypt, including Sadat, in all this. And that is who Angelina the movie star chose to accompany her to check on how the Gazans are doing now! The facts speak for themselves as to what kind of a person she is. And if she really cared at all why doesn’t she stay there and help the poor Gazans whom the Egyptians did not want in 1973 and on whom they closed their borders in 2024. Truly it is almost comic were it not so tragic. However, Angelina is indeed a wealthy woman relatively speaking and I am sure she is contributing many of her millions to those Gazans in need. In conclusion, I, too, am a big fan of her dad, not her. She is as phony as they come.

This is just another in a long list of examples where Angelina proves this fact. She's an okay, capable, actress, but she's no Meryl Streep. Her utterly performative UN schtick is also another form of acting for the public. I see it as different in kind than the actions of the “true believers “ like Annie Lennox who were pro-pally since 10/8.
